Pfeiffer '20 leads Titans with hat trick

Freshman Matt Pfeiffer led the Titans to a 6-0 win over Sylvania Northview on Friday, January 6. Pfeiffer finished the night with his first hat trick as a Titan, scoring three goals. In a game the Titans controlled from the beginning faceoff, Coltin Winchester also added two goals while Spencer Hood had one. Matthew Stansley had three assists for the Titans, while goalie JD Keller stopped all 15 shots he saw to earn his third shutout of the season.

On Saturday evening, the Titans faced the varsity team from Springfield and won 3-1. With the win, the Titans moved into second place of the Northwest Hockey Conference. Winchester scored the Titans first goal to tie the game in the second period. Blaze Whitton netted the game winning goal late in the second period with assists from Stansley and Andrew Twigg. Twigg also scored late in the third to seal the win for the Titans. Keller stopped 17 of 18 shots faced.

The Titans will return to action on Friday, January 13 as the host of the Mark Rasmus Memorial Invitational at Tam-O-Shanter.
