Titans wrap up busy two week stretch

The St. John's Jesuit varsity tennis team completed a busy two week stretch of matches with wins over Fremont Ross (5-0), St. Francis (4-1), Perrysburg (4-1) and Whitmer (5-0). Earning wins against Perrysburg were Dev Laungani (6-0, 6-0), Akhil Katragadda (6-0, 6-2), Ben Carter/Shan Karnani (6-3, 5-7, 6-1) and Tate Reno/Omar Abdul-Aziz (6-4, 6-4).

SJJ then posted a dominant performance against Whitmer as Alan Fahoury, Dev Laungani, Akhil Katragadda, Ben Carter/Shan Karnani and Tate Reno/Omar Abdul-Aziz did not give up any points and won all matches 6-0.

The Titans then traveled to Columbus on Friday, April 21 and fell in a close 3-2 match to Columbus Academy. Dev Laungani (6-0, 6-1) and Akhil Katragadda (6-0, 6-4) earned wins for the Titans.

On Saturday, the team faced Upper Arlington with Dev Laungani (7-5, 6-7, 7-6) and Akhil Katragadda (6-3, 6-2) again earning wins.

SJJ will now travel to Findlay on Tuesday, April 25.
