Six Titans qualify for Regional Championship

On Saturday, May 20 the St. John's Jesuit Titans finished as District Runner-Up, while qualifying six for the upcoming regional meet.

Senior Tycen Anderson qualified for the regional meet in three events. He placed first in the High Jump (6'6), second in the Long Jump (23'1) and second in the 200m sprint (22.8 seconds) at the district meet. Joining Anderson in the High Jump was freshman Elijah Kimmons, who placed fourth with a jump of 6'1.

In the 100m hurdles, senior Justin Isaac placed second with a time of 15.4 seconds. Senior Anthony Moore placed third in the 100m sprint with a time of 11.4 seconds. In the 800m run, senior Nate Ellis placed third, running 1:59. Rounding out the regional qualifiers was junior Tristan King in the Pole Vault, who finished fourth with a vault of 12'6.

The Titans will now compete at the Regional Championship on Wednesday, May 24 and Friday, May 26 at Amherst Steele High School.
