Luke Tracz '16 Wins Gold at American Collegiate Rowing Association Regatta

May 27 and 28

The American Collegiate Rowing Association Regatta took place at Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA on May 27-28, and the St. John's Jesuit Titans boasted five alumni competing and two additional alumni coaching in the competition. Luke Tracz '16 won gold in the 2nd Novice 8 with the University of Michigan.

The top racing event, Varsity 8, featured three SJJ graduates including Austin Buck '16 (University of Delaware), Greg Miller '15 (University of Michigan) and Spencer Rogers '16 (University of Rochester).

Prior to the ACRA Championship, Buck '16 won the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta in the Lightweight 8 for the University of Delaware in May. Miller '15 won the Novice 8 championship in 2016 with the University of Michigan, while also setting the individual time record for the Wolverines earlier in the year. U of M also won the Men's National Championship in 2016.

Also racing in the ACRA Championship was Benjamin Wymer '16 in the Varsity 4 with the University of New Hampshire.

Two alumni, Bailey O'Brien '14 and Taylor Valentine '08, coached at the championship, both with the University of Delaware.
