Titans finish season fourth in the state!

The St. John's Jesuit Titans wrapped up a busy Memorial Day weekend by placing fourth in the Ohio Tennis Coaches' Association State Team Tournament. First, SJJ faced New Albany and were defeated 3-1. Junior Akhil Katragadda earned a 6-2, 6-3 win. The Titans then squared off against Cincinnati Sycamore in the third place match-up and were defeated 3-0.

Prior to the State Team Tournament, two doubles teams (Alan Fahoury/Dev Laungani and Ben Carter/Akhil Katragadda) competed in the individual State Championship on Friday. In the first round, Fahoury/Laungani defeated Kenston by a score of 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. They then lost to New Albany 6-2, 6-1.

Carter/Katragadda also earned an opening round win vs. Solon, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. They then lost to Upper Arlington 6-0, 6-4. Both doubles teams earned 2nd Team All State honors.
