Titans wrap up busy week of competition

On Thursday, December 7, the St. John's Jesuit Titans traveled to Wauseon to face the Indians in a dual meet. SJJ took first in the 200 yard medley and 400 yard free relays (Jonah Kale, Jack Van Cott, Nate Smith and Jaden Brookens). Van Cott also had first place finishes in the 100 yard breaststroke and 100 yard butterfly. Kale placed first in the 100 yard backstroke. The Titans ultimately fell short by a score of 110-144.

With a quick turnaround, the team traveled to Cleveland State University to compete in the Viking Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Competing in the finals on Saturday night were Van Cott (fifth place in the 100 yard breaststroke) and Brookens (18th in the 200 yard freestyle). The 200 yard medley relay team of Kale, Van Cott, Smith and Brookens placed 14th overall and the 200 yard freestyle relay of Smith, Brookens, Van Cott and Andrew Titgemeyer placed 16th.

Next up, the Titans will compete against Sylvania Northview on Saturday, December 16.
