Titan swim team comes away with win at Napoleon

On Thursday, December 28, the SJJ swim team defeated Napoleon, 105-76, by capturing wins in nine out of 12 events. Jaden Brookens, Nate Smith and Jack Van Cott won multiple races for the Titans. The 200 and 400 freestyle relays of Smith, Brookens, Van Cott and Andrew Titgemeyer also placed first.

The Titans then fell to Perkins on Tuesday, January 2 by a score of 110-66. Smith took an individual first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.53. Jonah Kale followed his teammate with a first place finish in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.49 and Van Cott also contributed with a win in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.37. Smith and Van Cott teamed up with Brookens and Titgemeyer to win the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:38.39.

Next up, the Titans will head to Oak Harbor on Saturday for the Subway Rocket Invitational.
