Titans earn fifth place finish at NWOAC Championship

On Saturday, January 27, the St. John's Jesuit Aqua Titans placed fifth out of 12 teams at the NWOAC Championship held at Fremont Ross High School. The freshman duo of Jaden Brookens and Jack Van Cott led the Titans. Brookens took third in his individual events, the 200 individual medley and the 500 yard freestyle. Van Cott followed with a third place finish in the 100 breaststroke.

Both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays placed fourth overall. The 200 free relay of Van Cott, Brookens, Andrew Titgemeyer and Nate Smith recorded a time of 1:36.22 and the 400 free relay of Brookens, Van Cott, Smith and Jonah Kale clocked a time of 3:33.53.

The Titans will now travel to Port Clinton on Saturday, February 3 for the Ken Gipe Relays.
