SJJ Junior 4 qualifies for SRAA National Championship!

The St. John's Jesuit crew team traveled to the Midwest Regional Championship over the weekend to compete in a record setting regional regatta with 49 teams and over 500 entries. Leading the way were the Junior 4 (Braden Schwallie, Alexander Peseckis, Benjamin Theis, Collin O'Connell and Joseph Thaman), who won the silver medal and qualified for the SRAA National Championship! This marks the sixth consecutive year for SJJ qualifying at least one boat to the national championship.

SJJ also had numerous other top finishes throughout the day. The Novice 4 and Junior 8 came away with top 12 finishes, while the Varsity 8 placed eighth overall. This marks the first time in three years that the team has had a top 10 finisher in the Varsity 8 event. The Lightweight 8 placed fifth overall with a school record time of 5:10.

Congratulations, Titans!
