Derrick Stumm

  Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Derrick Stumm is entering his fourth season with the Titan hockey program and first with the varsity program. The three previous years, Coach Stumm served as the Head Coach of the JV team.

With more than 35 years of experience as a player and coach, he started his hockey career in Sylvania with the local hockey travel programs. He continued on to play AAA hockey in the Michigan National Hockey League. Coach Stumm ended his career at the Junior level, where he was a member of the 1998 National Champion Toledo Cherokee Junior Hockey Club. He was also a member of the Grand Rapids Grizzlies of the Junior A North American Hockey League.

He is an active member of the volunteer coaches within the Sylvania Youth Hockey Program, where he enjoys coaching his son and other kids who have a passion for hockey.

Coach Stumm and his wife Missy have five children between the two of them. He is an employee benefits advisor with The Ashley Group in Maumee.
