On Friday, October 29, the St. John's Jesuit Titans (12-seed) traveled to Avon Lake (5-seed) for the opening round of the OHSAA playoffs.
The Titans took the lead in the second quarter on a 18-yard touchdown pass from
Blake Lichtenberg to
Daylen Glaze and never looked back.
Julius Jackson recorded an impressive 89-yard kick return in the second quarter, giving the Titans the lead heading into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Titans defense stepped up with
Jabari McKinstry recovering a fumble, setting up a
Dayne Snapp touchdown.
Lichtenberg also connected with
Tommy Gallagher for a TD and rushed for one, as the Titans went on to win 34-13.
