Coach Dave Russell brings over 20 years of baseball coaching experience to the St. John's Jesuit staff. Most recently, he was the Head Varsity Coach at Northwood High School for six years. While there, he guided them to two TAAC League Championships, three Sectional Championships, one District Championship, and a Regional Runner-Up finish.

He has also coached the Pemberville American Legion U19 team for the last 10 years and continues to do so. Coach Russell is also employed as a member of the grounds crew for the Detroit Tigers.
