Head Lacrosse Coach Andy Smith '99 is set to enter his fifth year at the helm of the St. John's Jesuit program after taking over in December 2019. In 2024, Smith '99 and the Titans reached the DII State Championship game. The Titans defeated University School, 8-5, in the Final Four to reach the finals.
In 2022, the Titans reached the State Final Four and finished with an overall record of 18-5.
In his first season, the Titans finished with a 12-5 record and reached the regional semifinals before falling in a closely contested game.
Prior to being named head coach, he was an SJJ assistant coach for seven seasons.
Coach Smith '99 played goalie for the club lacrosse team while attending the University of Dayton for his undergraduate studies and also completed a Masters of Education with an Emphasis on Positive Coaching from the University of Missouri in 2017.
He has also been involved with the Black Swamp and Mud Dogs summer lacrosse programs.
Coach Smith '99 is a Quality Assurance Analyst for a local software team, and is married to Kristin with three children; Joey, James and Katelynn.
