Lori Yaross

Coach Lori Yaross is entering her 13th year as Head Coach at St. John's Jesuit. She is also the Head Swimming and Diving Coach at Notre Dame Academy.

In 2019-20 and 2020-21, she coached 12 and nine Titans respectively to the District Championship with one reaching the State Championship Meet. During the 2018-19 season, nine swimmers reached the District Championship with one reaching the State Championship. 

Most recently, in 2024 diver Edward Nyman '25 placed seventh overall at the OHSAA State Championship. 

During the high school off-season, Coach Yaross is the Assistant Coach of the Sylvania Tsunami Swim Club. 

In 2014, she received the TRAC Coach of the Year award and was nominated for BCSN Coach of the Season in 2015.
 
Coach Yaross was the co-founder of the Dundee Dragons Swim Club in Dundee, MI, and served as the head coach from 2007-2015. She was also the head coach at Erie Mason from 2007-2011, in Erie, MI. During her time at Erie Mason, she received Coach of the Year in 2007 and coached four state qualifiers.
 
As a 1999 graduate from Erie Mason High School, she qualified for state competition her sophomore through senior seasons and held five school records. She then competed at Cleveland State University, where she was a team captain for three years.
 
After receiving her undergraduate degree in 2005, Coach Yaross followed with her Master's in Education with a focus in Reading from Lourdes in 2013. She has been teaching for 18 years and is currently in her tenth year with the St. John's Jesuit Academy.
