St. John's Jesuit

Bostelman

Sli Bostelman

The 2025-26 season will be Sli Bostelman's sixth season as the Head Wrestling Coach at St. John’s Jesuit. He is a former state champion wrestler at Otsego High School and a graduate of Kent State University.

Coach Bostelman has brought a vast amount of experience and potential to the SJJ wrestling program. He started coaching at the Foxfire Wrestling Club in 2011, where he still currently coaches and trains athletes.

Under his watch, the Titans have won the Catholic Cup (vs. St. Francis and Central Catholic) each season, including ten consecutive wins.

In 2023-24, SJJ sent three wrestlers to the State Tournament for the first time in 30 years. Gage Yackee '24 went on to become the first Titan to place three times at the OHSAA State Championship. The Titans then followed with three wrestlers reaching the State Tournament in 2024-25 as well.

Bostelman has stated that his team goal is “to improve everyday on and off the mat.”
