Larry McDaniel announced on Tuesday, October 29, that after eight seasons with St. John's Jesuit, he will step down as head varsity football coach. Athletic Director Bob Ronai said, "We are grateful for Larry's hard work and dedication to the Titan football program and our student-athletes. He has been a tremendous role model not only for our football players, but for all students at SJJ. He has been instrumental in our transition to the Catholic High School League. Larry embodies what it means to be a Man for Others, and we wish him the best as he moves on to his next chapter."

McDaniel assumed his role as head coach in 2017. He said, "I am extremely grateful for the opportunity at St. John's Jesuit. I have taken great pride in furthering the school's mission. This has been a place where I have made incredible friendships among coaches, faculty, and staff."

St. John's Jesuit High School was established at 5901 Airport Highway in 1965. Serving young men in grades 6-12 through outstanding academics, spiritual development, exceptional athletic programs, and robust extra-curricular activities, the school's mission has remained steadfast to forming students of competence and compassion and Men for Others. President Karl Ertle stated, "The entire St. John's Jesuit family is very grateful to Larry for his years of coaching and for the way he brought the school mission to his program. We wish him the best as he makes this next step in his career."
