On Saturday, February 1, the St. John's Jesuit swim team placed fourth overall at the Ken Gipe Relays, while also qualifying all six relays into the finals.
The 850 Crescendo relay of
Johnny LaCouver,
Milo Ligman,
Emery Strauss and
Drew Bassler placed sixth overall.
Joel Hernandez,
Sam Blanchong,
Alex Miller and
Jacob Bassler swam the 200 Butterfly-Breaststroke relay and finished second. The 200 Backstroke relay finished third overall led by
Gavin Cansky, LaCouver,
Everett Motzel and Miller. The 300 Individual Medley of Motzel, Blanchong and Hernandez placed third. The 400 Freestyle relay of
Porter McElroy,
Braylen Ellis, Cansky and Strauss also placed third. Closing the meet was the 200 Medley relay of
Drew Bassler, Ligman,
Jacob Bassler and McElroy, placing fourth overall.Â
The Titans will now compete at the Sectional Championship on Saturday, February 8 at Fremont Ross High School.Â
