The St. John's Jesuit varsity lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in the CHSL and 2-1 overall, with wins over St. Mary's Prep on Tuesday and Cranbrook Kingswood on Saturday.
SJJ came away with a 9-6 victory at St. Mary's, led by Alexander Speer (4 goals, 1 assist), Cameron Weinberg (2 goals, 2 assists), and Drew Duesing (2 goals). Kyler Ayers set a career high with eight ground ball pickups, and Braylon Lewis recorded 10 saves.
For the second year in a row against Cranbrook, the game came down to a last minute goal with this year's game winner coming from Jameson Moloney. Owen Strayer had a standout performance with five points on the day (2 goals, 3 assists). Also contributing were Alexander Speer (1 goal, 3 assists) and Drew Duesing and Jameson Moloney with two goals each. Braylon Lewis secured key saves down the stretch to keep the Titans in it, posting seven saves on the day.
Next, the Titans will host Ottawa Hills on Tuesday, April 1 at 7 p.m.
